MITC (SMPTE) : ウィキペディア英語版 | MITC (SMPTE)
Media Industry Technologist Certification (MITC) was created as an industry-based measurement process, through which a candidate could be certified as having role- and sector-specific knowledge. The intention of the certification was to provide a way in which certificands (those with the certification) could easily identify (to others) how they fit into ecoculture of the media industry. An important benefit from the process was that the certification would provide guidance to employers as to the likelihood of an individual's ability to work in an identified domain of the industry. ==Certification== The generation of the MITC program of certification came from a growing need from within the Australian television broadcasting industry to foster and rekindle a learning culture within the workplace. The challenge was taken up by the MITC Steering Committee, a working group convened from senior industry members, educators, HR partners, managers and participants. The certification process was developed over an eighteen-month period in 2006/2007, and the pilot certification round was held towards the end of 2007. The MITC certification is providing some valuable feedback to registered training organisations (RTOs) in Australia to target areas of competency required to fulfil practical roles in the Australian television, radio and media industries. The inaugural assessment was on the 3rd of July 2008 in the domain of television at Associate Practitioner and Practitioner level. The MITC initiative is gaining momentum with representatives from pay TV, commercial and national broadcasters supporting the program. Senior members from technology departments in these organizations currently sit on the board and steering committee.
